The General Education Center (GEC) co-sponsored Tatsulok: Pambansang Kumperensiya sa Philippine Studies 2026, with the theme “Rizal at Pagkamakabayan,” held on June 18-19, 2026, at the Ignacio B. Gimenez (IBG)-KAL Theatre. The conference was spearheaded by Prof. Nancy A. Kimuell-Gabriel, Ph.D., a former GEC Director, who served as its General Convener.

The General Education Center (GEC) once again proved its commitment to service excellence. As shown in the 2025 Client Satisfaction Measurement (CSM) Report from the UP Diliman Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART), the overall service quality rating of the GEC stands at 96.1%, placing it within the Outstanding category, from a total of 1,964 client respondents. This reflects the GEC's continued efforts to provide quality service to the UP community and beyond.

The 2024 Client Satisfaction Measurement Survey Report from the UP Diliman Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART) showed that the GEC tallied a remarkable 96.5 percent overall service quality rating from 4,103 client respondents.
Following the recent conclusion of FGDs for its research on GE objectives, the General Education Center (GEC) participated and presented the preliminary findings of its landmark GE Program Assessment research during a plenary talk at the 2nd UPLB General Education Planning Workshop entitled “Dalub-Turuan 2.0: Dalubhasaan sa Pagtuturo ng GE sa UPLB; Guro sa Kapwa Guro” last 5 May 2025 in the university’s REDREC Auditorium.
The General Education Center (GEC) has recently concluded the data gathering phase for the preliminary phase of evaluating the University of the Philippines Diliman’s (UPD) current General Education (GE) program. The objective of this preliminary study is to address the repeated calls for the operationalization of the GE objectives through understanding how UPD stakeholders understand and define them.
